Speaking Presentations
Judy’s lively, often hilarious talks about motherhood, marriage, faith, and the writing life have delighted audiences at American Jewish University, the Erma Bombeck Writers’ Conference, the National Mothers of Twins Clubs Annual Convention, and many other groups. Whether talking about bad carbohydrates and the women who love them, why bad contractors happen to good people, or the right response to a husband who parades around in his wedding suit to show that it still fits after 15 years, Judy’s on-target observations will make audiences laugh with recognition that they are not alone!
Recent talk titles include:
If You Can’t Stand the Heat, Leave the Freezer Door Open
Families and Other Unusual Life Forms
Writing for the Love of It—And Sometimes, a Little Profit, Too
“Judy’s engaging style and quick wit make her a great speaker for MOM groups or any family-friendly event. You’ll find yourself laughing alternately in disbelief and complete agreement with her observations from the trenches of modern family life.”—Danielle Ball, Las Vegas Mothers of Multiples Past President
Brags
Judy knows it’s not nice to brag, but if you can’t brag on your own web site, where can you?
In 2009 Judy won an award for her online humor work on Aish.com from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists. Her books have also won numerous awards, and her latest book, The Women’s Daily Irony Supplement, won the Gold ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year Award for humor; a Silver “IPPY” Award from Independent Publisher; and a Bronze Award from the Benjamin Franklin Book Awards. Till We Eat Again: Confessions of a Diet Dropout, and her first book, Carpool Tunnel Syndrome, both won awards for humor from the Midwest Independent Publishers Association.
My hot moments of Starbucks fame
They published a quote from The Women’s Daily Irony Supplement, and you can see it here:

“Have you noticed that dogs are the new kids? You take a walk with your kid and your dog, but nobody says, ‘What a cute kid!’ Instead they say, ‘What a cute dog! What’s his name? Is he a rescue?’ Maybe if I put a collar and leash on my kid someone will notice her.”
Media Interviews
I love doing radio interviews, and am pleased to have been on Jordan Mercedes’ Thrive in Balance program on BlogTalkRadio; KUIK’s “The Lighter Side” (Eugene, Oregon); Israel National Radio (Eve Harrow); KSJE radio (Farmington, New Mexico); Life’s Work with Lisa Belkin on XM Satellite Radio; KMOX Radio (St. Louis); WFMP (Minneapolis/St. Paul), and many other programs. For interviews on family life, marriage, parenting, the funny side of being Jewish and orthodox, and why bad contractors happen to good people, call me at 310-486-4573
